How we collect, use and protect your personal data.

1. Who we are
This website, wardstonedigital.co.uk, is operated by Wardstone Digital Ltd ("Wardstone Digital", "we", "us"). We are the data controller for personal data collected through this site.
For any privacy question, contact Lorcan Ward at hello@wardstonedigital.co.uk.
2. What data we collect
- Contact form submissions: your name, email address, optional company name and the content of your message.
- Booking information: if you book a call, the details you provide are processed by our booking provider (see "Third parties" below).
- Analytics: if analytics is enabled and you consent, limited, aggregated, privacy-friendly usage data (such as pages viewed and approximate region). We do not use this to identify you and do not track you across other websites.
- Technical data: standard server logs kept by our hosting provider for security and reliability (such as IP address and browser type).
3. How and why we use it (lawful bases)
- To respond to your enquiry — based on our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us, and to take steps at your request before any agreement.
- To arrange and hold consultation calls — to take steps at your request.
- To understand and improve the site (analytics) — only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- To keep the site secure — based on our legitimate interest in protecting our systems.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
We do not set non-essential cookies or run analytics without your consent. If analytics is enabled, you will see a banner on your first visit and nothing non-essential loads until you choose "Allow". You can change your mind at any time. Essential technologies needed to make the site work do not require consent.
5. Third parties (processors)
We use a small number of trusted providers who process data on our behalf:
- Hosting: our website and contact-form handler are hosted on a UK/EU-based virtual private server.
- Booking provider: used only when you choose to book a call.
- Analytics provider: if enabled, a privacy-friendly analytics tool.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for advertising.
6. How long we keep it
Enquiry emails are kept for no longer than 12 months unless you become a client, in which case relevant correspondence is moved into client records and kept for as long as needed to provide our services and to meet legal obligations. The contact form is designed to forward your message by email and not to store it in a separate database. Server logs are kept only for as long as needed for security and reliability.
7. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to processing, and to data portability, as well as the right to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email hello@wardstonedigital.co.uk.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page with the date it was last updated.
